IFSA Guidelines 2024

We are super excited to share the news that IFSA Junior Freeride Competitions have been included in this year’s GL insurance coverage. This will come at no additional cost to the club or athlete membership fees.

Please review the attached document carefully; if you have any questions about how to complete the document, please contact me as soon as possible.

Please note the following information:

  • Coverage is only given to IFSA Junior Events. IFSA Open events are NOT COVERED.
  • All attending athletes must have a valid FC Provincial Athlete Membership to participate in Junior Freeride events.
  • All coaches MUST have a valid FC Coach Membership AND IFSA coaching license
    (L100 or L200)
  • The CSA Junior Big Mountain Sanction application (attached must be completed in full and submitted to [email protected] at least 14 days prior to the start of the specific event.
  • All participants must have properly executed the CSA/FREESTYLE CANADA Waiver, Hold Harmless and Assumption of Rick Membership Documents and be able to produce such documents upon request immediately.

The CA and Freestyle Canada are also prepared to consider GL coverage for any member club to host IFSA Junior Big Mountain events upon receipt of an application setting out full details of the event, including specifics as to location, event management and control, details as to staffing and approval of the ski area/resort as well as approval of IFSA
