DESCRIPTION:Register for our Freestyle Alberta Coaches\, Judges & Officials/Volunteers Symposium.\nThe symposium will be held in Calgary this year at Bowness High School and be followed by a social outing to Leopold’s Tavern in Bowness. \nAgenda: Professional development including presentations\, speakers and round table discussion with your peers. \nFee: \n\n$25: Judges: Registration fee includes coffee service and a catered lunch.\n$0: Officials & Volunteers (half-day)\n\nCoaches Clinic Cancelled: Due to low turn out we have cancelled the coached sessions. We’re looking at offering more professional learning later in the fall. \n[button link=”https://snowreg.com/#!/events/coaches-judges-officials-symposium” icon=”check-circle-o” color=”red” window=”yes”]Register Now[/button] \nWho should attend?\nJudges: With a continued shortage of active judges we continue to ask that all clubs endeavor to find 3-4 new parent/retired athlete volunteers who will enter the Regional Judging ranks. Each of these volunteers would be required to meet the following criteria: 1) Attend a regional judging clinic. 2) Judge at least 1-2 events at the grassroots; Club and Provincial level per season. Use this opportunity to learn more about the Freestyle Disciplines of Slopestyle\, Moguls and Halfpipe. This is a fun\, inclusive\, and resourceful workshop aimed at educating our members and providing active judges who will take part in supporting the growth of Freestyle Skiing. \nOfficials & Volunteers: This is a great opportunity to learn the ins and outs of volunteering and how competitions are run.We encourage every club to identify and send at least 2 keen volunteers (aka parents) plus any club members who may be filling leadership roles at your upcoming events. Leadership roles include volunteer coordinators\, registration\, scoring\, timing\, anyone on the organising committee\, Chief of Course\, Chief of Competition and the Technical Delegate (and their shadows).
