Canada Games 2019 – Torch Relay
The 2019 Canada Games, along with our partners from MNP, are undertaking the first national torch relay in the over 50 year history of the games.
The Torch will cover over 7000 kms and stretch from the Atlantic to the Pacific with 26 relays and will visit 49 communities.
Our goal is to engage champions of sport and community across the country and share their stories as they carry the torch during this historic relay.
The torch will be lit in Ottawa on October, 4 2018 and the relay is divided into 4 legs and will feature 10-15 torch bearers per stop:
East:

- Halifax, NS – October 9, 2018
- Montreal, QC – October 11, 2018
- Niagara Region, ON – October 20, 2018
- London, ON – October 23, 2018
- Thunder Bay, ON – October 25, 2019
Central:
- Winnipeg, MB – November 1, 2018
- Regina, SK – November 6, 2018
- Saskatoon, SK- November 10, 2018
Pacific:
- Victoria, BC – November 21, 2018
- Kelowna, BC – November 30, 2018
- Prince George, BC* – December 8, 2018
Alberta:
- Grande Prairie, AB – January 5, 2019
- Edmonton, AB – January 8, 2019
- Lloydminster, AB – January 9, 2019
- Medicine Hat, AB – January 12, 2019
- Lethbridge, AB – January 16, 2019
- Calgary, AB – January 18, 2019
- Rimbey, AB – January 23, 2019
