Retirement Announcement
After 5 years of serving as the Head Coach of Bow Valley Freestyle Ski Team, Calvin McAlary has decided to retire from coaching at the end of this ski season to pursue his career with Blackhouse Cinema.
As a club, we are grateful for the years of dedication and leadership that Calvin has provided to our team. He is an inspiration to our athletes, a mentor to our coaches, and a friend to everyone associated with the program. In his time with BVFST, our team has grown both in numbers, in depth of athletes and in community that shares a passion for freestyle skiing. Calvin’s efforts have helped us build a winning culture and he will always be an integral part of Bow Valley Freestyle’s history — his contributions to our program will never be forgotten. While we will miss Calvin’s expertise, passion for the sport, and commitment to excellence, we are excited for him, as he embarks on the next chapter of his life.
“Bow Valley Freestyle, is and will continue to be, something special to me and I am beyond proud of all the athletes that have made tremendous progress and each one has left an imprint on me that I take with me going forward. I want to thank all the athletes and families that have been apart of Bow Valley Freestyle and it’s development over the years.” — Calvin McAlary
On behalf of the club, we would like to extend a heart-felt thank you to Calvin for his many years of service. Please join us in wishing Calvin all the best in his retirement!
