We need volunteers for our fundraising casino. All funds raised go into directly to Freestyle skiing in Alberta. Casino funds are used to lower membership fees, pay for programs, equipment, and to support the Mogul and Park & Pipe development teams.
- Dates: July 12 & 13, 2023
- Location: Deerfoot Inn & Casino, 1,000 11500 35 St SE Calgary, AB T2Z 3W4
All volunteers will receive a $50 “thank-you” VISA gift certificate per shift completed!
Volunteers will also be provided with refreshments and a paid meal ($25 value) during the shift. Out-of-community volunteers may also be reimburse for accommodation.
Shifts & Roles
Volunteers must be 18+ years old. No experience is required.
Shifts:
- 11:00 am – 7:45 pm
- 7:15 pm – 4:00 am
- 11:00 pm – 4:00 am (Count Room)
Roles
- Cash Cage General Manager – rule the roost and sign papers
- Cash Cage Banker – be a hoot in the cash cage, keep everyone on their toes and keep us balanced
- Cashier – count the pretty coloured chips and handout cash
- Chip Runner – deliver chips to tables, keep the nest warm, and oversee the table hauls
- Count Room General Manager – a night owl who shows up late, keeps the count room awake.
- Count Room – sort loads of cash or peck away at the cash counting machines
All roles are overseen by our hired Casino Advisers, who’ll make sure you know what to do.
