Freestyle Alberta 2024-25 Provincial Teams Announced

Freestyle Alberta is pleased to announce 22 athletes who will represent Alberta during the 2024-25 season for both the Moguls and Park and Pipe teams.

Ten skiers make up the Freestyle Alberta Mogul team, which is year-round, camp-based program semi-centralized in Red Deer. The athletes receive oversight and assistance on athlete development, athlete performance pathway, yearly training plans, alignment with NSO programs, CSI-Calgary Support and coach development opportunities. These athletes are in the Learn To Compete and Train to Compete stage of the long-term athlete development model (LTAD). Athletes qualify for this program based on their RPA ranking as outlined in the FAB team Selection Criteria.

Twelve skiers were selected to represent the provincial Park and Pipe team, consisting of slopestyle and halfpipe athletes from around the province. The athletes are supported by their clubs and coaches to execute individualized year-round training plans aimed at promoting their skills to make the NextGen National Team. High-performance athletes are in the Learn To Compete and Train to Compete stage of the long-term athlete development model (LTAD). Athletes in the high-performance program are in full-year training programs with the goal of representing Canada as a member of the Freestyle Canada national team.
